RZ-Ecoseal E Mould Encapsulant

RZ-Ecoseal E has undergone independent performance testing by the Centre for Infrastructure Management at Sheffield Hallam University. In the CIM 438 Condensation Test, condensation visible on the RZ-Ecoseal surface during the early part of the test had disappeared after approximately 20 minutes, while condensation remained beneath the two alternative insulation systems after 120 minutes. The separate CIM 438 Water Vapour Permeability Test, based on BS EN 12086:2013, recorded a water-vapour resistance factor of 677.75 and permeability of 2.86 × 10⁻¹³ kg/(m·s·Pa), demonstrating strong resistance to moisture transmission. Its thermal conductivity was also measured at 0.15207 W/mK. Together, these results support the coating’s ability to form a durable, moisture-resistant barrier over properly treated mould-affected surfaces.

RZ-Ecoseal E FAQs

  • What is RZ-Ecoseal E?

RZ-Ecoseal E is a specialist encapsulation coating designed to seal treated mould-affected surfaces. It creates a durable protective barrier that helps contain residual mould spores and supports a cleaner indoor environment.

  • Does RZ-Ecoseal E remove mould?

RZ-Ecoseal E is an encapsulation product rather than a mould-removal treatment. Existing mould should first be professionally cleaned and treated before the coating is applied.

  • How does RZ-Ecoseal E help control mould spores?

Once applied, RZ-Ecoseal E forms a secure, continuous coating over the treated surface. This helps prevent residual mould spores from becoming airborne or spreading into surrounding areas.

  • Can RZ-Ecoseal E prevent mould from returning?

The coating helps protect treated surfaces and reduce the risk of residual contamination. However, the underlying cause of mould, such as damp, condensation, leaks or inadequate ventilation, must also be identified and corrected.

  • What surfaces can RZ-Ecoseal E be applied to?

RZ-Ecoseal E can be applied to a wide range of suitable internal surfaces, including walls, ceilings, concrete, masonry and other porous or mould-affected materials. The surface should be assessed and properly prepared before application.
